The P31 is also designed to replace the filament bulbs in an Oldham or Speleo-Technic cap lamp. The design is novel and makes clever use of a reflector. The beam produced is similar to a standard Oldham. The latest generation of LEDs are used, however, the electronics are more basic than the Retro2, meaning that it is only compatible with Speleo Technics Headlight and FX3 batteries.
