12) Make the three remaining connections. The wire from the battery positive must be wired to a + pad on the LED. The other two wires are soldered to the resistors. Ensure there is adequate insulation between all connections and the aluminium plate. Also ensure the wires are routed away from the switch so that it can rotate freely.

13) Insert the batteries and perform a quick test. Do not look directly into the LED. If the LED fails to light recheck all connections. There should be two distant brightness levels as the switch is rotated.
